Skills Students Practice
Primary Academic Skills
-
Division facts to 10: Students solve division problems with divisors from 1 to 10.
-
Fact fluency: Repeated rounds build quick, accurate recall of division facts.
-
Comparing values: Students compare quotients (answers to division problems) to see who moves ahead.
-
Mental math: Students solve each problem quickly to keep the game going.

How to Use It
Step 1: Print the game board, spinner boards and optional recording page. Assemble the spinners with a brad and paper clip, then choose whether students will all practice the same divisor or use different divisor boards based on their needs.
Step 2: Give each player a game marker, a dry erase marker and a spinner board. Place both markers on the Start space of the game board and decide who will go first.
Step 3: Each player spins to create a division problem and solves it in the write-and-wipe section. The player with the highest value answer moves forward two spaces. If there is a tie, both players move forward one space. Continue until one player reaches the End space.
Easy Differentiation
Students build division fluency at different rates. Different divisor boards make it easy to give every player the right level of practice.
For Children Who Need More Support
- Start with the ÷1, ÷2, ÷5 and ÷10 spinner boards
- Keep a multiplication chart nearby to check answers
- Have students say each division sentence aloud before solving
- Play alongside an adult for the first few rounds
For On-Level Practice
- Print two copies of the same divisor for targeted review
- Use the recording page to track every problem
- Have partners check each other's answers
- Rotate through new divisor boards each week
For an Extra Challenge
- Give each player a different divisor board
- Ask students to write the related multiplication fact for each problem
- Have students explain how they know whose answer is greater
- Play several games in a row and compare recording pages
For Speech, OT, ELL or Special Education Support
- Practice math words such as divide, quotient, divisor, greater and equal
- Use a sentence frame such as "___ divided by ___ equals ___."
- Use the write-and-wipe spaces for fine motor practice
- Give extra processing time and model a few turns first
