Digraphs Bump games make phonics practice a race for the board! This set of 8 Digraph Word Family Bump! Games gives your literacy centers a fun way to practice reading words with digraphs. A digraph is two letters that work together to make one sound, like ch, sh, th, wh and ph.
Children spin the spinner, read the digraph word and find the matching picture on the game board. Then they claim the space, bump an opponent's marker off or freeze a picture with a second marker. Digraph Spin & Graph sheets let children record their spins, so every game adds extra reading and counting practice.

How to Use It
Step 1: Print the game for the digraph you are teaching in color or black and white. Assemble it as a file folder game with the cover, tab label, spinner, game board and Spin & Graph pocket, or simply print on card stock and/or laminate for durability.
Step 2: Players take turns spinning the spinner, reading the word and putting a place marker on the matching picture. If another player has a place marker on that picture, "Bump" it off and put your marker on. If you already have a place marker on that picture, place a second marker on top to freeze it. Frozen pictures cannot be bumped.
Step 3: The game ends when all the pictures have been frozen. The winner is the player with the most frozen pictures. Children can record their spins on the Digraph Spin & Graph sheet.
