CVC word families board game with a bright rainbow theme! Get ready to spell it, spin it and win it with 190 short vowel word cards and a colorful rainbow path your students will BEG to play.
CVC words follow a consonant-vowel-consonant pattern, like rub, fig and wed. Partners read a word aloud, spell it and spin to move ahead, so decoding and spelling practice happens every turn. It is high energy, low prep and perfect for kindergarten and 1st grade small groups, literacy centers and independent word work all year long.

How to Use It
Step 1: Shuffle the CVC word cards and place them in a stack. Each player places a game piece on the yellow Start star.
Step 2: The player to the left picks a card and reads the CVC word aloud. The current player spells the word aloud or writes it down.
Step 3: Correct? Spin the spinner and move forward. If not, stay in place and the next player goes. The first player to reach the green star wins!
Two-Player Option
Playing with two? One reads the CVC words and one spells, then switch!
