Fine motor task cards for every season and holiday, all in one huge bundle! The Fine Motor Mega Pack gives you 60 seasonal and holiday fine motor activity sets to fill your fine motor task boxes, morning bins and learning centers so preschool, pre-K and kindergarten children keep building, stretching, pressing, matching and creating all year long.
These fine motor activities put familiar classroom manipulatives to work. Children recreate pictures with pattern blocks, build with snap cubes and building bricks, stretch rubber bands across geoboards, place pom poms and shape play dough while they strengthen hand muscles, coordination, visual-motor skills and problem-solving. Rotate the six activity formats through the routines you already have. The seasonal designs refresh the materials children already love.
With this fine motor bundle, you get
- 60 seasonal and holiday fine motor activity sets in one 600-page bundle
- Six hands-on formats that use manipulatives already in your classroom
- Clear visual models that help children begin quickly and work with growing independence

Why Teachers Love It
-
Easy to prep and ready to use: Print, laminate and add the task cards to the matching manipulatives. The clear format makes it easy to set up fine motor bins, independent stations, small groups or rotating centers.
-
Keeps favorite materials feeling new: Seasonal and holiday designs give children new pictures to build with the pattern blocks, geoboards, cubes, pom poms, play dough and bricks they already love.
-
Supports successful independent work: Visual models give children a clear design to follow, so they can begin with confidence and stay focused.
-
Builds hand skills through real challenges: Children rotate, stretch, pinch, press, connect and carefully position materials. Some designs offer quick success while others add the extra challenge children need to keep trying.
-
Extends math, literacy and STEM learning: Children count pieces, identify shapes, follow building guides, recognize letters and words and solve spatial challenges.
-
Your prep stretches further: One theme can fill your morning tubs, math centers, fine motor stations, STEM centers, light tables and free-choice play.
Skills Students Practice
Primary Academic Skills
-
Counting with one-to-one correspondence: Children count the pieces they need for each design.
-
Number recognition and number sense: Counting prompts connect quantities to numbers.
-
Color recognition and matching: Children match pom poms, cubes and bricks to the colors in each picture.
-
2D shape identification and shape composition: Pattern block and geoboard designs ask children to name shapes and put them together to make pictures.
-
Letter recognition, beginning sounds and early phonics: Letter tracing, word tracing and beginning sound picture choices appear on many mats.
-
Visual discrimination and spatial reasoning: Children compare pictures and figure out where each piece belongs.
-
Following visual models and problem-solving: Children copy a design, check their work and adjust it.
-
Fine motor skills: Hand and finger strength, pincer grasp, finger isolation, bilateral coordination (using both hands together), hand-eye coordination, controlled placement, grasp and release and wrist stability all get a workout.
-
Visual-motor integration and motor planning: Children plan their movements to place each piece where the model shows.
Secondary Life & Learning Skills
- Maintaining attention
- Following directions
- Working independently
- Sticking with a task until the design is complete
- Communicating choices
- Building confidence
How to Use It
Step 1: Choose a season or holiday and print the task cards and mats for the formats you want. Laminate them so they last all year.
Step 2: Add each card or mat to a bin with the matching manipulatives, such as pattern blocks, geoboards and rubber bands, snap cubes, pom poms, play dough or building bricks.
Step 3: Set the bins out at arrival time, in independent stations, small groups, quiet-time transitions, partner work or as early finisher choices. Leave completed designs out as inspiration for children who want to create their own pictures.
Materials You'll Need
- Pattern blocks
- Geoboards and rubber bands in several sizes
- Snap cubes
- Pom poms (plus tweezers or tongs if you'd like an extra challenge)
- Play dough
- Building bricks such as LEGO® bricks
- Laminating pouches and a laminator (for durability)
- Transparency film or plastic sheets for light table pattern block pages (optional)
Easy Differentiation
Children arrive with very different hand strength, attention and building experience. These task cards are easy to adjust so every child can be successful.
For Children Who Need More Support
- Provide only the colors and pieces needed for the selected design
- Cover part of the mat so children can concentrate on one section at a time
- Let children match pieces directly on top of the picture
- Offer larger manipulatives that children can grasp and control comfortably
- Pair a confident builder with a child who benefits from modeling or help
For On-Level Practice
- Build the full design on the mat independently
- Gather and count the needed pieces before building
- Rotate through all six formats in one season
For an Extra Challenge
- Recreate the design beside the task card without building over the picture
- Expand the completed design or use it as the starting point for an original creation
- Add tweezers or tongs to selected pom pom activities
- Print selected pattern block pages on transparency film for the light table
For Speech, OT, ELL or Special Education Support
- Let children point, use eye gaze or verbally select each piece while an adult or peer places it on the task card
- Provide rubber bands in several sizes so children can form short and long line segments on the geoboards
- Focus on pincer grasp, finger isolation and wrist stability during OT sessions
- Practice color words, shape names and seasonal vocabulary while building
- Give extra processing time and model the first few pieces
